About Us

Travel2Next oversee and compile Travel Plans for a number of sites throughout the business. These plans are submitted¬† to the local authority’s.

Next Head Office was the first company in the UK to achieve a Gold Accreditation for the Travel Plan which was awarded by Modeshift in 2017. This award is valid for three years. In 2018, the Yorkshire Warehouses (Elmsall & Stadium Complex, and Toftshaw Lane) was awarded a silver accreditation which is valid for two years. Travel2Next and the Yorkshire Warehouses are currently working to upgrade this accreditation to a Gold Accreditation.

The Travel2Next team consists of two full time members of staff that focus to deliver sustainable travel options to employees. They report to the Head Office Site Services Manager and the Head of Facilities Manager.

Sarah McAlinden, Travel2Next Team Leader oversees promotion of sustainable travel, authors the Travel Plan, oversees car park management and sits on the board of Modeshift to offer advice to other UK businesses.

Steven Bentham, Traffic Management Officer, oversees day to day issues surrounding the car parks, issues parking permits and compiles a staff travel database.

Kevin Harrison, Head Office Site Services Manager, oversees all Facilities issues at Head Office, Gedding Road Online, Phase 5 Online and Premier Park.

Lewis Folkes, Head of Facilities, oversees all Facilities teams, Maintenance teams and Store Services teams.

Dominic O’Rourke, Group Property Director.

The Travel2Next department also has a team of Traffic Marshals that assist with staff parking in the mornings and assist with swift and seamless traffic exiting site in the evenings. The marshals are employed full time in various departments throughout the Facilities teams. Please see the Team page for more details.
